A handy and now rare book. The book was produced for the Education Committee WAY 79 by the then Department of Education and Department of Lands and Surveys. The atlas was given to schoolchildren to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the European settlement of the Swan River Colony.

The atlas includes chapters on regional landscapes, discovery, exploration and settlements, natural resources, agriculture, mining, soils, climate, immigration and population. There are many large maps, a bibliography and a list of towns gazetted.
