Charles Douglas Mitchell was born in Bunbury, Western Australia in 1879. Charles worked as a banking inspector and administrator in the Wheatbelt Region. He was the brother of Sir James Mitchell, Premier of Western Australia.
Although this book focuses on Charles Mitchell, there is much detail given on the whole Mitchell family. This book was published on behalf of the Royal Western Australian Historical Society.
