Wollaston was an observant writer who included lively accounts of shipboard life and the setting up of his parish, St Mark's, at Picton. His honest description of life in Australia's alien environment is a valuable primary source document. Wollaston became rector at Albany and Perth's first archdeacon.
Edited with introduction and notes by Cannon Burton and Rev. Percy U Henn.
