This is John Ramsden Wollaston's (1791-1856) second journal and diary, covering his time as Archdeacon in the St John's Parish, Albany, to his death in 1856.
Wollaston was appointed Archdeacon of Western Australia in 1849. After a failed Aboriginal mission in 1835, Wollaston established another Anglican mission to Western Australian Aboriginals at Albany in 1851. (Australian Dictionary of Biography)
