Ada Fossa (b. 1934) is a 6th-generation Indigenous resident of Shark Bay and also a Malgana elder. This book is a collection of stories from her memories of growing up and living in Shark Bay, with input from some old-time residents.
As the eldest of 12 siblings, Ada details traditional family life and the generational lessons passed down by parents and grandparents. It is written without formal research "airs and graces"; the memoir records real, unfiltered lived experiences exactly as they happened.
