The Kindergarten Union of Western Australia (KUWA), known as the Kindergarten Association of Western Australia (KAWA) after June 1966, was established in Perth in 1911.

This history of KUWA/KAWA is an account of a voluntary movement. It investigates the ideals that influence the organisation and its relationships with other organisations and government bodies.
