Secondhand. Very good condition. Minor wear to book corners and edges. Some faint marks on a few pages.
The Shire of Tammin looms large in the State's development, particularly in the wheat-growing industry. Settlement began as early as 1893 with the arrival of the Packham family, though the district's official centenary is 1999.
The accounts of those settlers who followed the Packhams, progressing even further to Yorkrakine and beyond, the connections with Cunderdin and Meckering and the long-running struggle to achieve progress and establish an identity make interesting reading.
Among the dozens of family and personal names are many well known in the state. No less than three of Tammin's sons have served as members of Parliament.
First edition, limited to 1000 copies.
