Giuseppe Bombara migrated to Australia in the early 1900s, working in Fremantleâs growing fishing industry. He later brought his family over, settling in Fremantle and eventually expanding into Geraldton, where they played a pivotal role in the transport, fishing and ice industries. Joe Bombara co-founded the Geraldton Ice Works in 1925. The family also played a key role in establishing the Geraldton Fishermen's Co-operative.
