The family history of the Bombara family, who came originally from Sicily, Italy. They have links in Fremantle, Geraldton and the Mid West Region.

Giuseppe Bombara migrated to Australia in the early 1900s, working in Fremantle’s growing fishing industry. He later brought his family over, settling in Fremantle and eventually expanding into Geraldton, where they played a pivotal role in the transport, fishing and ice industries. Joe Bombara co-founded the Geraldton Ice Works in 1925. The family also played a key role in establishing the Geraldton Fishermen's Co-operative.

Other immigrant Italian families discussed include Boschetti, Raneri and Miragliotta.

Includes discussion of internment during WWII in Harvey.
