Book Description

Secondhand. Very good condition. Minor wear to book corners and edges. Some tiny faint marks on tail foredge. Interior and binding are still excellent.

There was a huge demand for timber during the Goldrush in the Western Australian Goldfields. Lumber needed to support mine shafts, fuel for machinery, and to operate condensers producing freshwater. Those working on the woodlines were often migrants who faced challenging conditions in remote areas. This book also covers the enormous environmental impact of land clearing.
