This book took thirty years of extensive research and was the first systematic guide to poisonous plants in Western Australia. It is a practical reference dictionary with line drawings and 52 original watercolour drawings by Edgar Dell and Charles Gardner.
Written by the then West Australian Government Botanist, C A Gardner and the Principal of the Animal Health and Nutrition Laboratories, Dr H W Bennetts, and introduced by George Baron-Hay, the Director of Agriculture in 1956.
