No unit of the Australian Army in World War one achieved such an aura of glamour and gallantry as the Light Horse. From Gallipoli to Gaza, from Sinai to Syria, they rode and roistered and fought like demons.
The pick of the Light Horse was their Light Horse Brigade Scout Unit. This is their story recreated vividly in words and pictures by Henry P Bostock (1995-1983). Bostock, carried his faithful Vest Pocket Kodak camera and his diary in his saddle wallet as he endured the hardships, enjoyed the comradeships and experienced the triumph of The Great Ride.
