In March 1942, one of the last planes out of Java was heading for Broome, Western Australia. Just before leaving, Russian Captain Ivan Smirnoff is given a mysterious brown paper bag. Confronted by Japanese fighter planes, the Captain lands the badly damaged plane on an isolated beach in the Kimberley region.
