Clem Jones was a pioneer farmer in the Manmanning area. Manmanning is a small town in the Wheatbelt region, located in the Shire of Dowerin. The townsite was originally a railway siding, with land set aside for settlers in 1927. The town was gazetted in 1929.

Clement William Jones (1896-1979) was born near Nhill in Victoria. The late 1890s were a difficult time in Victoria, and Clem's family decided to move to Western Australia. His brother, Stan, came to Western Australia seeking his fortune during the gold rush. Hi brother H B moved in 1902 and took up land at Dowerin Lakes. Clem's father arrived in 1903, and by 1905, the rest of the family had joined him.
