Dr Ern Manea is an icon of Bunbury, Western Australia. Born in Albany in 1926, he came to Bunbury in 1952. In addition to a distinguished career as a GP, Dr Manea was the City of Bunbury's longest-surviving mayor and was a patron or board member of over 300 community organisations at various times.
This book results from extensive interviews with Dr Ern Manea and his wife, Beulah "Snookie" Manea, and oral history tapes recorded by John Bannister for the Bunbury Historical Society Inc.
