At only 45 years old in February 2006, Kununurra in the Kimberley Region of Western Australia is a very young town. However, there is more history behind those 45 years than meets the eye. The East Kimberley is unique in that Wyndham celebrates 120 years since its proclamation in 1886, therefore having the youngest and one of the oldest Kimberley towns within the shire.
