Secondhand. Good condition. Minor wear to book corners and edges, with the right tail front cover corner now protected with book tape. Stain on the right tail corner of the first few pages. The previous owner has signed the inside page, now covered with a blank ex libris bookplate sticker. Some minor creasing to covers. The binding and interior of most of the book is still very good.
Kinglake-350 is a non-fiction account of the happenings in and around Kinglake, Victoria, during the Black Saturday bushfire disaster of 2009. It is a masterpiece of writing about family, community, country life, and what happens when a day of ultimate terror arrives.
Adrian Hyland takes a dramatic and compelling sequence of events on that day and weaves them into a picture of universal significance and deep fascination.
