Full title: Kalumburu: The Benedictine Mission and the Aborigines 1908–1975: The History of Kalumburu Mission in North Western Australia
In 1908, Abbot Torres of the New Norcia Benedictine Monastery and a small band of followers founded the Drysdale River Mission at Pago, on the shores of Mission Bay. In 1937, the mission moved to Kalumburu, providing a more reliable water supply.
Fr Eugene Perez draws on the Kalumburu Mission Diary to tell the Mission's story, including testimonies of the Aboriginal people. (back cover)
