This book charts the history of the Perth Technical College from its beginnings through to 1980.
The idea of a college originated following the appointment of a committee to consider and report on the desirable and practicality of introducing technical education into some of the government boys' schools in 1889.
Chapters are dedicated to the college's beginnings (1889-1913) and divided into formative years (1914-28), lean years (1929-39), war years and memorable years (1939-50) right through to the college's maturity as an enlightened hall of learning in 1980.
Contains photographs and artworks of notable personalities.
