Jeff Carr recalls his eight years in the Western Australian cabinets of Brian Burke, Peter Dowding and Carmen Lawrence, during one of the most dramatic eras in Australian political history. He held seven portfolios, including Police, Mines and Fuel and Energy.

Jeff Car was born in Geraldton in 1944 and raised in the small railway town of Narngulu. He trained as a teacher before entering the Western Australian Parliament in 1974 as the Member for Geraldton. He held the seat until February 1991.
