This book is a history of legendary shearers from the Geraldton and Mullewa area. It is written by the sister of one of the shearers, Joan Ridley. Her brother Rick Ridley, was a shearer who travelled around the Mid West from the 1960s onwards.

Joan Ridley has included many interviews with contemporary shearers and Rick Ridley has also included his own account of the shearing industry. Includes many photographs.
