The Loreto Sisters came to Western Australia in 1897 and opened a school in Adelaide Tce, Perth, and later a school in Claremont. In 1931, after buying land in Nedlands, the Loreto Nedlands School opened. Today, the Nedlands school is the last Loreto school in Western Australia.

Anne Carter is a past student and teacher in Loreto schools. Her comprehensive history includes a bibliography and index.
