This booklet provides an account of the 63rd Regiment of Foot, which set sail from England in 1829 for the settlement that was about to be founded on the Swan River in Western Australia. Initially, the 63rd detachment was split between Garden Island and Fremantle before moving headquarters to Perth and establishing army posts in Kelmscott and York.
Includes details of the journey, stores on board, names of officers and wives, births and deaths, along with photographs of weapons.
