Book Description

Secondhand. Very good condition. Minor wear to book corners and edges.

A Rascal and a Gentlemen includes both Fred Morgan's diaries and his family's experiences recounted by Noel Morgan whilst Fred was at sea.

Fred's meticulous account, written under battle conditions, mainly on the destroyer HMS Hero and HMS King George V, truthfully and accurately covers the five years of WWII. Fred's diary covers areas of action in the Mediterranean, the Baltic, Japan and the Pacific and includes much Australian and American involvement. He was involved in both battles of Narvik, the supply of Tobruk, the rescue of the King of Greece and the eventual rescue of 15,000 Australian troops from Tobruk along with the British contingent.
