Secondhand. Near fine condition.
During the Vietnam War, the Vietcong and North Vietnamese tried hard to disrupt the flow of supplies through the seaports and along the rivers and canals throughout South Vietnam. Swimmers used various local and Soviet-made mines.
Defence against the swimmers and mines demanded a 24 hour a day effort in the remorseless fast-flowing murky canals and anchorages of the South Vietnamese waters.
This hazardous, unending work was the daily lot of the men of Clearance Diving Team 3, Royal Australian Navy 1967-1971.
