Adventures on the Ferguson is a collection of eight newspaper articles, originally printed in the Bunbury Herald in 1908, humorously recounting a journey from Bunbury through the Ferguson Valley in 1908.
The central character is part-fiction, but the people he meets along the way are real, early settlers on the Ferguson River. Woven into the main story is a set of tall tales, rambling implausible stories told and retold for entertainment. This collection gives modern readers a rare window into the past of this cherished region.
The book also contains an introduction and a biography of the author, the South Bunbury Correspondent, William Moyes.
