Book Description

Secondhand. Very good condition. Minimal wear to book and dust jacket. One tiny mark on title page.

Surveyed and gazetted in 1912, Trayning's first thirty years of development were impacted by drought, war and depression. Despite these constraints, Trayning remained an important gain and wool producer.

Significant technological change during the late 1960s saw a decline in the Shire's population. when farmers were forced to increase the size of their properties. This decline in population. despite an increase in wheat production, is typical of other Wheatbelt shires.
