Linda McKellar Hall (Anderson) was born in 1903 in Victoria. She first travelled abroad in 1922, and this book is based on the diaries of her travels from that date until 1974 and is a valuable historical record as well as a wonderful travel document, compiled by her daughter-in-law.
The book is divided into five parts covering her early travels with her father, her first visits to England and the continent with her husband Reg as a young married woman, her wartime evacuation and trips in the post-war period, later travels to America, Africa and Asia and finally a series of trips throughout Australia in the 1960s and 1970s.
