Arthur Schutt learned to fly when planes were kept together by faith and hope. Every pilot was his own mechanic, and navigation aids were usually a Shell road map and a general knowledge of the railway system.
After serving in WWII in the RAAF, Schutt established an aircraft sales and service company and later gained the Cessna dealership for Victoria. Aircraft purchasers were taught to fly at the Schutt Flying Academy.
This Flying Business tells the story of a man whose ingenuity helped to pioneer general aviation in Australia. (book flap)
