This book is a family record of Michael Clarkson and his descendants.
Michael and his brother James Smith Clarkson left Hull, Yorkshire in September 1820 on the vessel Tranby and arrived at the Swan River Colony in February 1830. Their father Barnard and brother Charles Forster Clarkson arrived in 1833 on the Cygnet.
James Smith Clarkson did not marry but both Michael and Charles have descendants in Western Australia to at least the fifth generation. Michael's family were pioneers of the Avon Valley area. Charles' family settled further north.
