Haddon Rymer Forrester King (1905-1990), was a noted geologist that worked across Australia in the mining industry. His major contribution to mining geology came from his recognition that the Broken Hill orebody, and other similar deposits worldwide, originated as sedimentary layers of metals, rather than later replacements from metallic solutions (Australian Dictionary of Biography, Volume 17, 2007).
King's ideas are encapsulated in this book of essays. It has been out of print for some time.
Monograph series (Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy) No. 15. Includes bibliography and index.
