Frank Broomhall joined the Rabbit Department in 1926, spending fourteen months on the Rabbit Proof Fence as a boundary rider.
After a lengthy and varied career, Broomhall wrote this history of the first fence that crossed Western Australia north to south.
When it was completed in 1907, the first fence was considered the world's longest unbroken fence.
