Old Blythewood is a beautiful old farmhouse on Bindjareb Noongar Country on a high bank overlooking the Murray River, near Pinjarra and about an hour's drive south of Perth.
Dating from 1861, the farmhouse accommodated the McLarty family as well as an inn and post office. An earlier building, used as a kitchen block, is located behind the main house and offers views of the river.
Old Blythewood was gifted to the National Trust by the McLarty family in 1972.
