Donald Alister Alexander was born on 29th July 1909 in a bark hut on a creek in the hills six miles east of Waroona. Apart from a few years in the air force during WWII, Don has lived in the Waroona area for 100 years.

The stories in this book are drawn from Donald's experiences, early district history as he remembers and his recollections of stories told to him during the earlier years of his long and interesting life. (Forward)
