The autobiography of Stella Peden, a member of a pioneering family in the Nornalup district. While her husband worked to bring in an income, Stella battled to clear their block on the Frankland River and built three houses on it over the years. She also worked for a time in the Bunnings Mill, served on the Shire of Denmark Council and conducted cruises in her boat.
An interesting account of her own life and that of many other settlers in the timber country of Great Southern. (back cover)
