This book is an autobiography of Norman Thomas Fewster and his family. His parents emigrated from England in 1898 and settled into farming at Muchea. Fewster was born at Greenside Farm in 1909. In 1935, Norman and his brother bought land in Gingin and combined beekeeping and vegetable growing. The family became large landholders, raising cattle and continuing in the honey industry. Norman Fewster served 16 years as President of the Shire of Gingin. In 1978 he was made a Freeman of the Shire of Gingin.
