This book has many black-and-white photos. It features the opening of Australia’s first steam railway - the 1854 Melbourne and Hobson’s Bay line and information on different lines in NSW, Tasmania, QLD, WA, Commonwealth railways and different class locomotives used - all the way through to 1973 Queensland railway 2350 class.
There is also a special appendix detailing preserved locomotives in Australia.
