George Julius Brockman (1850–1912) was an explorer and pastoralist in the Gascoyne and Kimberley regions of Western Australia. For thirty or more years until his death, Julius Brockman recorded in his diary almost daily.

Brockman spent his early adult years working in Busselton as a cattle hunter and foreman for H R Princep. By 1875, he had moved north to the Gascoyne, managing pastoral stations, including Pyramid Station.

Brockman was the first European settler to bring stock to the west Kimberley to secure land on the Fitzroy River. He was blocked by new government land acquisition regulations from buying land on the south side of the river, and so he moved north to establish the Meda station on the May River.

In 1888, Brockman sold Meda to return to the Gascoyne and purchased the Minilya station. (J S Battye Library of West Australian History)
