Secondhand. Good condition. Wear to book corners and edges, particularly tail edge. Previous owner has signed inside page, now covered with blank ex libris bookplate sticker. Dust jacket has creasing at edges and at spine. Minor marks on front cover. Interior and binding are still very good.

Barbara Blackman (1928- ), essayist, librettist, and letter writer, was an only child, born and bred in Brisbane. She was caught up in the Barjai art-literary group of the 1940s, the Melbourne Contemporary Art Society of the 1950s and the Australian wave in London in the 60s. She was married to painter Charles Blackman for thirty years.
