Secondhand. Very good condition. Minor wear to corners and edges. Interior and binding are still excellent.
Isabella Maxwell married Dr John Ferguson in 1839. Ferguson bought shares in the Western Australian Company, and in 1842, they and their children sailed on the Trusty to Western Australia.
On arrival at Australind, Isabella was so disappointed with the place that she sat on their cases and cried. This book includes letters written between 1842 and 1910 by Isabella and her family to Scottish relatives. The author annotates and places the letters in their historical context.
