Tucked away in the south-west corner of Western Australia lie two small but remarkable ranges - the 65 km long Stirling Range, rising to 1073 meters above sea level at Bluff Knoll and the 12 km long Porongurups, whose highest point is Devils Slide at 670 metres. Located some 4 hours' drive south from Perth, they are regularly visited by a diverse range of people - casual tourists passing through, dedicated bushwalkers and nature lovers, mountaineers, glider pilots and scientists. All those who pass through seem to take some special memory, some meaning, home with them, for this is the extraordinary nature of these ranges.
Dawn Till Dusk is both a practical guide to, and a visual celebration of, these ranges.
