Book Description

Secondhand. Very good condition. Slight wear to book edges at spine and corners. Interior is excellent. Dust jacket has some creasing at top edge and tiny tears at spine top that have been reinforced with book tape.

In 1992, Bungaree, north of Adelaide South Australia, celebrated its 150th anniversary of European settlement. This book provides a record of the people, events and the stock that made its name great.

The growth of Bungaree is intertwined with the Hawker family, in particular George Hawker. In 1841, three Hawkins brothers became squatters at Bungaree. Within a few years, George Hawker bought out his brothers and founded a large pastoral empire.

Richly illustrated. Includes family trees, bibliographic references and index.
