Secondhand. Very good condition. Minor wear to book corners and edges. Front cover right tail corner, now protected with book tape. Interior and binding are still excellent.
Braidwood, New South Wales and its district differ from many other areas in that the memories of the generations for the last 100 years are basically the same. Secondary industry has not been attracted to the area, nor have there been any new mineral finds since the days of gold, and the ups and downs of the rural industries have been the backdrop to fairly slow development.
The National Trust has listed Braidwood as a historic town because of its heritage of 19th-century buildings and also because it has not outgrown its original perimeters. From the town, one can still see the paddocks, the hills and the hawthorn-lined lanes nearby, while the vista of the main street is virtually unchanged. This book tells the story of that historic town.
