This book presents a selection of historical photographs, chosen partly for their beauty and partly for what they can tell us. Their subject is the vegetation of Australia's south-western corner—chiefly the wetter, heavily forested region south of Perth, but also the vegetation of Perth and that of the Wheatbelt and Goldfields.
Nearly all photographs were taken between 1890 and 1930.
