An Essay on the Shaking Palsy is a famous 1817 medical treatise by the English physician James Parkinson. It gave the first clear description of the condition we now call Parkinson's disease. The work outlined key signs such as resting tremors, forward-bending posture, and changes in gait. He looked closely at six men to track how the condition starts small and gets worse over time.
