Secondhand. Very good condition. Minor wear to book corners and edges. Dust jacket has some light creasing at top edge. Small tear at spine tail now protected with book tape. and at spine. Some fading to blank preliminary end page.
In May 1919, the Baptist Union appointed Revd Leonard Tranter to establish a Baptist secondary school. Tranter travelled throughout Victoria to raise money for its foundation. Searching as far eastward as Blackburn for a suitable property, a red brick mansion with extensive stables and woods was chosen. In 1922, the Baptist Union purchased the property on Auburn Heights, known as Urangeline. In 1923, Carey Baptist Grammer School was opened. (book flap)
