The coast watchers were a group of men often working in Japanese held territory, whose radioed warnings provided critical information to the Australian and American forces. Their reports were crucial to the Allied forces holding Guadalcanal - a significant victory in the Pacific War.
Eric Feldt was the commander in charge of the coast watcher movement.
Book cover is taken from a painting "Australians in the New Guinea Jungle" by James Cook.
