Book Description

Secondhand. Good condition. Ex library book with external stickers removed. Wear to book corners and edges, particularly near spine where laminate has torn.

This book was published as part of the Bringing Them Home Oral History Project that collected interviews with members of the Stolen Generations. The project also included interviews with people involved in the process such as welfare officers, police officers, missionaries and institutional staff. The interviews were recorded between 1998 and 2002. They relate to missions and institutions across Australia.

The book includes a CD that brings the voices of the interviewees to life. The editors have brought together a diverse range of expert writers together and have woven their words with artwork and poetry by Indigenous artists, many of whom are interviews for the project.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander readers, please note that this book may contain descriptions and/or images of people who have passed away.
