Book Description

Secondhand. Good condition. Wear to corners and edges. Light foxing to the inside front and back covers. Faint marks on foredges. Body text and binding are still very good.

Lionel Welsh arrived in Western Australia in 1947 as a child migrant and was transported to Boys Town, Bindoon, having already spent ten years in a Catholic orphanage in England. His autobiography, published in 1990, Geordie - Orphan of the Empire, told of his harrowing upbringing and, in later years, his battle with alcoholism.

In this book, Lionel expands on his experiences and updates the reader.

Few copies were published, making this book hard to find.
