During 2016, the Pengelly Tourism Group decided to recognise early school sites within the Pengelly Shire. This project culminated in a celebration and reminiscing on 29th October 2016.
A decision was made to compile a book to commemorate the occasion. This historical book comprises the information provided by community members and gathered through considerable research.
Schools listed include Aldinga-Stratherine, Kulyaling, Marwonga, Milton, Mourambine, Nalyaring, Noonebin, Petercarring, Taylor's Well and Woyerling Springs.
