Fields of Gold traces the history of the Western Australian Dominican Sisters from their arrival at Dunedin, New Zealand in February 1871 to their journey and settlement in Greenough in June 1899, to their activities at the turn of the 21st Century.
Like many, the Dominican Sisters came to Western Australia during the gold rushes of the 1880s and 1890s. By 1899 they had commenced their educational apostolate among the rural and mining towns.
